How does a waterless diffuser work, and how is it different from an ultrasonic diffuser?

A waterless diffuser atomises pure fragrance oil without water and without heating it, and leaves no residue. The principle is called waterless cold-air diffusion: the fragrance is neither diluted nor heated. An ultrasonic diffuser mixes the oil with water and releases a damp mist.

In daily use this means no water tank to clean, no added humidity in the room, and a fragrance that arrives the way it was composed. The oil sits directly in the tank of the device: 300 ml in the Nova, 500 ml in the Slim. You set the intensity via the app or directly on the device. How do I scent a room?

The most consistent way to scent a room is an electric scent diffuser. You fill the tank with fragrance oil, set the intensity via the app or directly on the device, depending on the model, and the diffuser releases the fragrance continuously for as long as there is oil in the tank.

Which scent diffuser suits which room size?

The Waterless Scent Diffuser Nova (AED 650) is designed for rooms of around 40 to 50 m², with optional wall mounting or connection to the ventilation system (HVAC). The Slim (AED 400) covers 300 to 500 m³ and can be turned down for small rooms. The Diffuser Smart (AED 300) runs on mains or battery and suits small to medium rooms. The Aura New (AED 1,290) is designed for rooms up to 250 m² and has a 1000 ml tank.

Which oil should I use in my aroma diffuser?

An Aromadream scent diffuser takes Aromadream fragrance oils: the brand's own fragrance creations, developed and produced in Switzerland and compliant with IFRA standards. In Dubai they are available in two sizes: 200 ml for AED 140 and 500 ml for AED 250. Oud & Tonka costs AED 180 (200 ml) or AED 300 (500 ml).

Eight fragrances are available in Dubai: Vanilla Love, Bright Orchid, Hibiscus Passion, Love Channel, Oud & Tonka, Perfect Ambient, Sweet Amber and Tuxedo. How many drops of fragrance oil go into the diffuser?

With an ultrasonic diffuser you add a few drops of oil to about 100 ml of water. With Aromadream's waterless diffusers there is nothing to count: you fill the tank with undiluted fragrance oil and set the intensity via the app or directly on the device.

Fragrance oil refills cost AED 140 (200 ml) or AED 250 (500 ml); Oud & Tonka costs AED 180 or AED 300. How quickly a tank empties depends on the room size and the intensity you set.

The running costs consist of the fragrance oil. A general consumption figure would not be honest, because it depends on the room, the ventilation and the intensity level, so we do not give one. The device itself is a one-off purchase; the fragrance oil is the recurring item.

Are scent diffusers and fragrance oils safe?

Aromadream fragrance oils comply with the IFRA standards of the international fragrance industry, and the diffusers are CE and RoHS compliant. Waterless cold-air diffusion works without water and without heat and leaves no residue.
